Thoughts

Please accept the sincere condolences of the Alumni team at Keele University. Bernadette graduated in 1979 in Greek and Russian and always maintained a connection with her university and her contemporaries, attending reunions here whenever she could. We are very sad to hear of her passing.

It's lovely to read the thoughts of others who also loved Bernadette. She was such a kind and generous friend to me. We met on a psychotherapy course at Regent's College in London and collaborated on a rather provocative presentation for our class. What a great sense of humour she had! We soon found we had other things in common, such as cooking, France, TE Lawrence and of course cats. I have many fond memories of preparing meals together and once a competition to see who could make the best cassoulet! There was a trip to Cloud's Hill and a self-guided walking tour to some hidden places in Paris. I feel lucky to have had her as a friend and will miss her very much.

I was so saddened to hear about my cousin Bernadette’s premature passing....She was always so full of life despite difficulties that life has thrown on her way. Always caring about others, was a great listener and story teller as well.. She will always have a special place in my heart and memories. My heart goes out to her family in these difficult days. Berni - rest in peace, With much love, Justyna from Poland
